Automation Editor crashes when opening from FDCS

Symptoms / Solutions:

When the Automation editor opens, it immediately crashes.

To resolve this issue, disable the computers antivirus software. Uninstall and reinstall FDCS.

Now the Automation Editor should work correctly. The antivirus software can be re-enabled.
